CBK governor Dr. Patrick Njoroge last warning to uhuru over excessive borrowing!

Central Bank of kenya (CBK) Governor Dr. Patrick Njoroge has called upon the Parliament to move with speed and stop the government from further borrowing.

The CBK boss warned that if the government continues borrowing the money in the manner of which it is doing right now, the country will not be able to pay it’s debt inthe next two years.

This is after official data revealed that kenya’s stock of public debt stood at 7.2 trillion in December 2020, where 3.7 trillion is owed to external lender while 3.4 trillion was borrowed domestically.
